Short Film: Voice of Grace (Georgia) – Voice of Grace tells the story of 9 year old Grace and her two siblings, Nick and Maddie. When the children lose both their parents unexpectedly, the go to live with their Aunt Lydia. Young Grace deals with these tumultuous changes in her life by controlling the only thing she can – her voice. Voice of Grace is a faith-based family drama that explores the themes of loss, love, family and wha tit takes to find one’s own voice again.

Short Film: The Music of Erich Zann (Georgia) – An adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s original and terrifying short story – a young university student, Daniel Forthright, on leave from the university decides to seek shelter for the night in an old dreary inn located deep in the forest. A freak storm forces Daniel to prolong his stay in the shadowy inn and each night he hears the eerie, noturnal playing of the elusive and mysterious Erich Zann from the upstairs chamber. Daniel decides to make the old man’s acquaintance and soon gains the impression that Zann is stark raving mad, but still Zann’s music holds an odd fascination over him and he decides to delve deeper into the mystery of the music. Daniel soon discovers the horrifying reason behind Zann’s music and the powers it holds over the unseen creatures waiting outside Zann’s curtained window.

Feature Film: Team P.R.O.O.F. (Georgia) – “Team PROOF” is a supernatural comedy about a group of hapless paranormal investigators. It’s a mixture of “Ghost Hunters” meets “Reno 911”. It’s a tale of people who are doing their job the best they can – they’re just terrible at it.

The Marietta International Film Festival and the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre team up to bring a monthly screening of indie movies to the big screen. This short and feature-length indie film night will showcase works from all over the United States, as well as films from all over the world. Indie Night at The Strand is a great way for movie lovers to explore new films that they wouldn’t have the chance to see anywhere else and support their local theatre at the same time.
